About

WHO WE ARE

WE ARE PROMISE AND HOPE

Promise & Hope Charity was founded by Mr Pervaiz A. Sardar in 2015.

Mr Pervaiz grew up in Lahore and, on leaving school trained as a nurse. He left for the UK, leaving his wife and young family who later joined him there.

A passion grew in his heart for the children of the poorest families in his homeland, those with no hope of even a basic education. He considered the best way to help was to ensure they could receive the very best education to prepare them for the international job market. This meant they would need to be educated in English.

He began with the children of his own family gaining experience in the running of a programme of help. Also being involved in the ‘Shama-e-Illm Project, later expanding to sponsoring more children and in other towns in Pakistan.

Wanting to take on the world Mr Pervaiz started the charity Promise and Hope (UK) with a view to raising even more funds so that even more students could benefit.

OUR VISION

Our Vision is to see children around the world gain an education that will enable them discover their own potential and fulfil it. For many this is already a reality but even more have little or no access to education for a variety of reasons

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to give a helping hand to those who have no hope of receiving an education because of poverty. To speak up for those in need.

OUR METHOD

We work closely with our sister charity Promise and Hope (Pakistan) to select the schools for students to attend and the children who will benefit from the programme. The schools are of the highest quality, teaching in English, so that children will be equipped to obtain work in an increasingly global workforce.Where it is necessary the funding may include some help with care of family members where a sponsored child is the main source of income.

OUR COMMITMENT

Promise and Hope (UK) are committed to:

  • Sponsoring children until they graduate from high school.
  • Expanding the programme to more children in need.
  • Expanding the programme to more locations.
  • Helping students from any ethnic or religious or racial background.
